Babies (0-14 Months)
This is our baby room that caters for all our babies needs.
The room has a separate sleep room and nappy changing facility. The room is open plan and bright so that the babies feel content and happy.
The room is equipped with a soft play area as well as a black and white area as research has indicated that babies can distinguish more detail when images are in black and white.
There is also a sensory area in which the babies can explore different objects and textures.
The room is designed so that the babies can crawl around the room to the different areas as well as providing the staff with space to carry out adult led activities.
The sleep room is a relaxed room for the children to enjoy peaceful sleep. The room has eight cots so that each baby has their own cot and bedding. The room has stars for lighting when the babies are sleeping as well as blackout blinds and soothing music.
The nursery seeks to provide stimulating resources which are relevant to the children’s cultures and communities. We see to use natural and sustainable resources where possible to encourage the children to develop their natural impulse to explore.
